Dr. Rafia Rashid is a dedicated pediatrician with over 18 years of specialized experience in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition. As an Assistant Professor at Bangladesh Shishu Hospital & Institute, she combines expert patient care with advanced medical procedures, teaching, and global research contributions.

About Dr. Rafia Rashid
Dr. Rafia Rashid is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Bangladesh Shishu Hospital & Institute (BSH&I) in Dhaka.
She graduated with her MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College. She holds two specialist qualifications from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS): FCPS in Pediatrics and FCPS in Pediatric Gastroenterology & Nutrition.
Dr. Rafia's clinical work emphasizes interventional procedures such as Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Polypectomy, and Bleeding Hemostasis. She is also dedicated to medical education, teaching MD residents and FCPS trainees.
Dr. Rafia is a Life Member of the Bangladesh Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology & Nutrition (BASPGAN) and Bangladesh Pediatric Association (BPA). She is also an active member of the international paediatric community, including the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition (NASPGHAN) and the Asian Pan-Pacific Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (APPSPGHAN).
Her research record includes 34 original works, with 11 articles as the first author. Her work has been published in esteemed international journals, including Elsevier's Gastroenterology & Endoscopy, the APPSPGHAN official journal Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition, and the NASPGHAN official journal JPGN Reports.
