At Children's Gastroliver Center, our priority is the health and privacy of our young patients. To maintain a truly independent and patient-focused practice, Dr. Rafia Rashid follows a strict code of ethics regarding third-party influences.

A Patient-First Diagnostic Policy

We are an independent center with no business ties to private diagnostic labs. Investigations are suggested only when absolutely necessary for an accurate diagnosis. For your child's safety and accuracy, we prefer referring to trusted institutions like:

  • Bangladesh Medical University (PG Hospital)
  • ICDDR,B
  • BIRDEM
  • Bangladesh Shishu Hospital & Institute

Ethical Procedures & Referrals

We focus on accurate diagnosis and consultation; therefore, specialized procedures like endoscopies are not performed at our clinic. When required, Dr. Rafia performs these exclusively at the Bangladesh Shishu Hospital & Institute at the institute's standard fees, ensuring a commission-free referral.

Our Strict Pharmaceutical & Representative Policy

To ensure our prescriptions are based only on what is best for your child, we have implemented the following rules:

  • Limited Interaction: Medical representatives are only permitted to visit on Wednesdays for a very limited time to provide updated product lists and brochures.
  • Zero Gift Policy: We strictly prohibit any gifts or incentives from medical representatives or pharmaceutical companies.
  • Privacy Protection: We do not allow medical representatives to capture or photograph your child's prescription for data collection. Your medical information remains private and is never used to track prescribing habits.

Our goal is a transparent, ethical healthcare experience where your child's wellbeing is the only factor in every medical decision.
