We are incredibly proud to announce a significant milestone for the Children's Gastroliver Center.
On Saturday, 8 November, during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bangladesh Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition (BASPGAN), Dr. Rafia Rashid was elected as the new International Affairs Secretary.
Why This Matters for Your Child
This new role is not just a title; it is a recognition of Dr. Rafia's tireless efforts to bridge the gap between Bangladeshi healthcare and global medical standards. As the International Affairs Secretary, she will play a pivotal role in:
- Bringing the latest global research and treatment protocols to Bangladesh.
- Facilitating training and knowledge exchange with international experts.
- Ensuring that pediatric gastro-liver care in our country meets world-class benchmarks.
A Leader on the Global Stage
Dr. Rafia's election to this post is a natural progression of her long-standing commitment to international collaboration. She is already an active member of:
- APSPGHAN (Asia Pacific Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition)
- NASPGHAN (North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition)
- WEO (World Endoscopy Organization)
By maintaining these strong global connections, Dr. Rafia ensures that her patients receive care that is up-to-date, ethical, and evidence-based.
We congratulate Dr. Rafia on this achievement and look forward to seeing how her leadership will further elevate the standard of child healthcare in Bangladesh.
